Andrew Logan Patty passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by family, at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital on October 5, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 18. Andrew was born at Riverview Hospital on July 28, 1997 in Noblesville, Indiana to Tommy J Patty and Karen D. Low (Richardson). He was the youngest of this family with five older siblings, including six nieces and nephews.
Just a short two months ago on his 18th Birthday, Andrew chose to be an Organ donor, when he received his (adult) ID. With this tragic loss to his family and friends, there are five families able to celebrate the gifts Andrew was able to pass on. Please pray for not only Andrew’s family and friends but say an extra prayer for these families, may Andrew live on within each one of those individuals.
Andrew lost his life way to young, he still had so much to accomplish. So much to teach his young daughter, who is only two years old. He was an avid skateboarder and loved to be on anything with wheels. He was a very generous, witty, dedicated, very stubborn and an extremely funny individual, who loved his family and friends with so much heart and soul. Andrew was so passionate about being successful in life, and all that it can mean. He wanted nothing but to be free, to roam, and to travel, he was going to be on top. He now has his wings to fly…Rest easy baby, fly high, see the world, but please come back to visit and watch over and protect all those whose lives you touched. You’ve left a lot of love here on earth. We love and miss you more each day!! Lost but never forgotten!!
He is preceded in death by some of his very own special angels. His father Tommy Joe Patty of Indianapolis, Indiana. Paternal Grandparents Mildred and Joe Patty from Farmland, Indiana. Maternal Grandparents Carolyn Davis and Jack Richardson of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Andrew is survived by his Daughter, Alana Desiree Marie Parmer (her Mother Ashely Parmer) of Indianapolis, Indiana. His Mother Karen (Richardson) Low (Step-father, Gregg Low) of Greenfield, Indiana. Sisters; Elizabeth Patty of Carmel, Indiana and Brandalyn Gragg (Husband John Gragg, children Brandon Adams and Abigail Gragg) of Atlanta, Indiana. Along with three Brothers; John Patty (Children Kaia Warner and Hayden Patty) of Carmel, Indiana, Joe Patty (Wife Erica Patty, children Ashley and Ethan Patty) of Carmel, Indiana, and Nathan Hollingsworth of Sheridan, Indiana. Along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a lot of very close friends.
A Celebration of Life will held in his honor on October 24, 2015 at 3:00pm. We have very close family ties with the local VFW Post 261, the address is 10550 Pendleton Pike Indianapolis, Indiana 46236. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Andrew’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family ask to please send donations to the posted GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/AndrewPatty, all proceeds will go to the final arrangements of Andrew’s cremation, Urn’s (one for his mother, and one to be buried with his father, a marker plaque for his father’s headstone, pendants for his close family and cost associated with the Celebration of Life, any donations remaining or submitted after those expenses are paid, will be place in a trusted collage fund for his daughter Alana Parmer. A collection jar will be at the ceremony for anyone that cannot access the GoFundMe web page.
The family would like to say a Very Special Thank you to the First Responders, the St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital; Emergency and ICU staff members, Nurses and Doctors, and to the staff of Indiana Donor Network for all their efforts, their care, their dedication, their generosity, and the grace they showed his family in their most desperate time of need.
